Every client has a consultation before their first treatment so we can talk through your skin, health history, and goals, and confirm the treatment is suitable for you. If you are unsure whether a treatment is right for you, get in touch and we are happy to advise before you book.
Your first visit starts with a short consultation. We will talk through your skin type, hair type, and treatment area, and do a patch test if it is your first time.
Arrive with the treatment area freshly shaved (not waxed or plucked - the hair root needs to be intact for the laser to target it).
You will be given protective eyewear, and we will apply a cooling gel to the skin.
The laser is passed over the treatment area. Most clients describe the sensation as a warm snap, like a rubber band flicking the skin. Sessions range from a few minutes (lip, underarms) to around 45 minutes (full legs).
Skin may look slightly red or feel warm for a few hours, similar to mild sunburn. Avoid hot showers, sun exposure, and tanning for at least 48 hours.
Hair grows in cycles, so a course of 6-8 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart gives the best results.
